Romulus Students Fly Cross Country in Aviation Club Mission
Romulus Central School Aviation Club advisors praise six students Bob Nielsen Chip Harris Charles Dickerson Greg Miller John Saeli and Dave Glanville for a three legged cross country flight from Seneca Falls to Utica and to Binghamton and back. Flights in two shifts totaled about three and a half hours with a planned solo for Greg Miller soon.

Five Syracuse area FFA members led by adviser Mr. Mereness traveled to Kansas City for the National FFA Convention. The agenda included opening ceremony, leadership talks, national music groups, tours of industry sites, contests, and social events. The group returned home after a full week of events.

In February many high school juniors nationwide took the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Three hours tested math science English and history. Two classmates, John C. Bassette and Ann Elliott, earned Letters of Commendation for scoring in the top 2 percent of seniors nationwide.
