Station Ithaca Turns Lehigh Valley Station Into Dining Railcar
On December 10, 1966 the former Lehigh Valley Railroad Station on West Buffalo St in Ithaca reopened as The Station, a modern restaurant preserving rail heritage. Joseph Ciaschi and interior decorator Guy Lovelace created a train themed menu with conductor ticket style entries and clocks from Seth Thomas. Ciaschi says the venture is a complete success, with guests comfortable amid vintage locomotives photos and railroad memorabilia.
