George and Mrs Baronick reunite at a Cayuga County Newman Club gathering hosted by Auburn Community College. The event marked a long awaited meeting after four decades, celebrating friendship and community ties.
The department lists dates and participants for multiple trainings and programs in 1972. Attendees include Mental Hygiene staff from Steuben and Tompkins counties, regarding therapy aide courses, a twelve week elementary course, and a multidisciplinary orientation. Additional events cover psychodrama for Meadow House, staff development at Sloan Institute participants, regional liaison talks, and a Parkinsonism program with a three way learning system.
A Willard State Hospital event honors long service with the Twenty five Year Service and Retirement Dinner. Maynard Trenchard and Cherie Pemberton are recognized by John F. McCauley as Psychiatric Aide of the Years 1970 and 1971. Entertainment includes a lip syncing act, The Songmakers, and Sam Palermo orchestra.
A Palm Sunday outing in Auburn sponsored by the Newman Club of Cayuga County Community College provided transportation and attended by patients, relatives, and Father Ronald Guessar. The event followed prior hospital outreach by the club and Cayuga County social services, highlighting ongoing support for Willard State Hospital residents.
