Winners of the fifth annual Willard Talent Show at Willard State Hospital include Robert Gerlach and his Dixieland Band first place Julius Eastman Ithaca vocal solo Cin dy and Candy Doty Corning Jazz dance James Caraher Seneca Falls piano solo Rita Shuster Seneca Falls flute solo. The event benefited the patients amusement fund with Art Philips supervising.

More than 100 Ovid Democrats and guests heard Lachanegro former Elmira mayor urge party unity. Sen Kennedy sent best wishes, Stratton attended late, and Leo Boyle attended. Master of Ceremonies Lewis Bell led the event at Happy Landing with prayers by Fr Higgins. Door prizes went to Jeneane Jackson and Mr Depronico.
