Problems Plague Lodi Board Meeting Over Budget and Ambulance Costs

About 20 residents attended the Town of Lodi Board meeting on Thursday. They questioned ambulance costs with Covert at 70 per call, 35 paid by the town and 35 by the patient, arguing for lower rates or a town ambulance. The board indicated Covert cannot meet lower costs due to trained personnel requirements and that a volunteer run service would not go below 700 in the 1973 budget.
