Farm Bureau Urges Toll Free Calls in South Seneca
At the June 21 Lodi Farm Bureau event a call went out for all South Seneca communities Ovid Interlaken Lodi and Trumansburg to write toll free requests to Trumansburg Home Telephone Co or Spire Telephone Corp urging calls between area subscribers. Group letters with brief problem statements signed by individuals are preferred to petitions. The effort aims to unite communities and support farm related business relying on telephone service. The bureau hopes at least fifty letters and cards be sent.

Area Seniors Earn Diplomas in Interlaken Romulus Ovid Romulus
Class of 61 at Interlaken Central School heard remarks by Dr. Wesley Haines of Franklin College Indiana and music by the school concert band. Valedictorian Robert Elliott III and Salutatorian Elaine Hull led the large ceremonies with awards announced by Maurice Patterson and Board members. Other districts' seniors from Ovid and Romulus received numerous honors for scholarship citizenship and achievement.
