Mercy College of Detroit graduates Miss Marcia Rae Mc Grain with a Bachelor of Science as part of the Class of 1966. The ceremony featured U S Representative Martha W. Griffiths delivering the commencement address. Later that day Interlaken’s Patricia Durnin earned a bachelor’s degree at the State University College at Oswego in a 750-student ceremony with speaker Gerald Piel of Scientific American.

Edwin Schmidt Graduates From Hamilton College
Peter Edwin Schmidt son of Mr and Mrs Edwin Schmidt of R D 2 earned a bachelor of arts degree at Hamilton College 156th commencement on Sunday June 5 Cornell President James A Perkins delivered the address and received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters. The Seven Lakes Council Cadettes from Ovid attended the Girl Scout International Fair at Hobart College. They toured campus and sampled foods, with displays on Finland including a Finnish Folk Song and Dance taught by Ava Berkeley. Attendees included Brenda Baker, Gail Berkeley, Diana Covert, Judy Griswold, Marilyn Lynch. A neighborhood meeting for leaders and mothers is planned for June 14 at Shel don Hall with Mrs. David Sheldon presiding.
