Miles son of Mr and Mrs Harold W Miles RD 2 has completed basic training at Lackland AFB Texas He is assigned to the Air Force Technical Training Center at Chanute AFB Illinois for specialized schooling as a flight training equipment specialist Miles is a 1967 graduate of Interlaken Central High School.

UB graduate Einar Tangen earns Air Force commission
Einar Tangen, son of Mr and Mrs Auden Tangen of Interlaken, earned a BA in Political Science from SUNY Buffalo and was commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant in the USAF. He was among 62 seniors commissioned at the May 31 ceremony in Alumni Hall Captin Chapel. Dr Michael H Prosser will speak and Col John J Herbert will award the commissions.
