Shenandoah and Arrowhead Districts host Cub and Dad Day at Camp Babcock Hovey on Saturday July 15. Registration starts 1 30 p m with ceremonies at 2 15 p m. Edwin L Ritter notes the event shows future Boy Scouts the facilities and programs awaiting eleven year old Cub Scouts.

The Trumansburg Boy Scouts Troop 3 express sincere thanks for community help saving papers and bottles. Revenue enables a fall trip. current paper collection at the 4 H building at the fairgrounds is paused. Glass collection resumes at Scoutmaster Andrew Scott's home on Cemetery Road this fall. no paper recycling project this season.
TRUMANSBURG Boys may pick up small fry football application blanks at a fair booth run by Tri County Jaycees. Eligible are boys ages 12 and 13 for two teams. Return blanks by August 1. A meeting will follow. Proceeds from the Jaycees golf tourney will fund team expenses. Donations may be sent to Tri County Jaycees Small Fry Football Box 65 Trumansburg.
The Trumansburg-Searsburg Church Ladies announce a bake sale for Saturday July 15 at the Trumansburg P C Store starting 10 a.m. Donations should be at the store by 9:30 a.m. or with Leona Davis by 9:00.
Perry City Friends Church will hold its worship service at 10 30 am with no Sunday School through July and August. Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology will begin construction this summer of a waterfowl facility and bird hospital.
More than fifty Scout troops will take part in a year round camping program in the Louis A. Fuertes Council. Each troop will enjoy weeklong camps and engage in education aligned with Scouting’s total program. The emphasis remains on patrol method and the Scout master as coach and mentor.
