Fair Week Schedule Delays And Events At Trumansburg Fair
The Trumansburg Fair opens this week with Joie Chitwood Show rescheduled to Thursday due to rain. Youth Day proceeds with fine exhibits and a demolition derby at 8 p.m. The five day slate features Horse Show, FFA judging, Harness Races, Firemen's Night, Pony and Tractor events, Jack Kochman Thrill Show, and Florine Oler organ music daily.

Covert Landfill Proposal Discussed by Town Boards
Richard Seymour told the Covert Town Board that test holes were dug on Carl Tracey farm with a Health Department rep approving a sanitary landfill. He said the site would be hidden from roadside view and run under NYS Board of Health rules with lease terms for town residents. Boards will decide in a week. Ovid Seeks State Approval for Expanded Sewer Plan

Robert Akins was chosen president of the Interlaken Board of Education for 1967 68 at the July 5 re organization meeting. He has been a member since 1954 and earlier led the board 1958 68. Bid Accepted For T Burg Beach Side Well Construction
TRUMANSBURG The Village Board accepted an alternate bid from Clarence W Crandall of Pine City for the beach side well and easing as part of the new water supply at Frontenact for 5864. The decision followed rejection of all other bids for not meeting specifications. Engineering staff Crandall and Miller recommended the move to expedite system use in 1968.
