At a Geneva Historical Society meeting, slides showed the first igloo at Seneca Army Depot with Mrs. Lewis A Gilbert, wife of a Supreme Court Justice, breaking champagne to christen the structure on August 21 1941. The igloo stands at the depot's north end.
The Finger Lakes Officers and Civilians Wives Club held a busy February with a February 5 Lakehouse coffee hosted by Mrs James Roberts and committee. Newcomers welcomed included Mrs Joseph Alsop and Mrs Gary Konopka. A February 9 Bloodmobile Drive had many volunteers from the club. A February 20 luncheon featured SEAD CID officer James Alexander speaking on the drug problem. The February 27 visit to Willard State Hospital includes a Bingo session with prizes donated by members.
