Farm Bureau policy meeting with Senator Warder at Geneva
Farmers met with Senator Warder at Geneva to discuss favorable legislation and issues affecting farm profits. Warder argued for using some federal revenue sharing to repay the Rainy Day Fund and criticized the environmental bond’s promise. He noted the five year plan lacked enforceable teeth and warned of rising costs and declining returns if drought persists into 1977.
