Ovid Christmas Decorations Spark Community Cheer
In Ovid the village and town combined to place eight street pole decorations on each side with two more planned for West and East Seneca Streets. Volunteers Frank Covert Tom Martin Joe Licak Jr Gordon Gable Francis Covert Larry Wilkins Sr Paul Martin and Billy Palmer wired the displays. The effort boosted local charm and shopping appeal versus other villages, though funding remains a challenge. The decorations will last only a few more days. visitors are urged to view and thank the volunteers. Lakes Region League Standings note follows with a reflection on turning paper into wood suggesting a nod to tradition.
