Interlaken Men Develop New Wood Stove Venture

Two Interlaken men, Robert Doane and Kenneth Leonard, are producing a new wood stove model aimed at affordable, efficient heating. The flat top version doubles as a cook stove and a second crimped-top model expects to heat two rooms, retailing around $75. Each stove uses 16 gauge steel, is welded and sealed, and features a front draft system to funnel heat to the coals. Doane runs Doane’s Tractor Sales and works as rural mail carrier, while Leonard farms County Road 150 and raises horses.
