Senior Citizens Hold Annual Christmas Party in TRU MANSBURG
The Senior Citizens held their third Christmas party on December 14 in the Federated Church Chapel. Eighty-two members attended with gifts and ornaments for a tree and a turkey dinner at 1 p.m. Carols were sung after dinner, directed by Harry Buck with Edward J. Hamll at the piano. Mrs. Pearl Holman read The Night Before Christmas, Percy Dunn wore a Santa suit and handed out gifts to the two oldest members, Mrs. Jennie Allen and Mrs. Margaret Smith. Dorothy Connors won a doll donated by Hattie Swick, and Lena McComb held the afghan prize at the door.

School Board Appoints New Junior High Social Studies Teacher
Interlaken Central School Board accepted Herbert Stockner’s resignation and named Lydia Johnson as the interim Junior High Social Studies teacher for the year. Johnson graduates Albright College and lives in Ithaca. The board also approved a thermostat service contract, reported five students will attend a speech clinic, and discussed a future merger study with Ovid and Romulus districts.
