Firefighters join March Against Dystrophy drive
Romulus and Ovid Volunteer Fire Companies volunteer for the March Against Dystrophy run by the Rochester Finger Lakes Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Twenty departments canvass communities or place canisters to raise funds for a clinic serving about 200 patients at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. The effort differs from the Labor Day Jerry Lewis Telethon, which supports global MD research in 100 medical centers.
