A student council proposal at South Seneca Central School urges tailored assemblies for junior and senior high students. It recommends fewer balloon shows and more on-campus issues, with themes on drugs safety, driver responsibility, volunteering, and civic engagement.

On Tuesday November 19 the elementary teachers from Ovid and Interlaken took part in a science workshop sponsored by the Genesee Valley Science Project. School dismissed early for K-6 students while teachers explored new ideas and materials in elementary science at the Ovid building. The session proved helpful and worthwhile.

Plans include a December 7 bazaar a dance a field trip and a teaching program for aiding teachers.

Interlaken-South Seneca Central School announces November honor rolls. Jr High High Honor recipients include Susan Beardsley and Scott Koehler among others. Jr High Honor Roll lists Barbara Bassette and Stephen Bullivant. Senior High High Honor Roll features Regents and Non Regents sections with students such as Thomas Akins, Nathan Baker, and John Bassette.
ICS Interlaken introduces a new classroom in the garage this year taught by Mr. Depew for mechanical drawing and metal shop. Miss Hilly and Miss White join as music and girls gym instructors bringing Ithaca College ties and teaching experience to the school.
During American Education Week one parent visited the room. Mrs Diamond displayed a chalk picture of The First Thanksgiving. Three new students joined, Donna Law Syracuse Karen Schirrmacher Carmel and Curtis Clements Birmingham Alabama. Now 25 girls and 9 boys.
