The First Baptist Church of Interlaken will install Rev. James R. Sheppard as pastor at 11 a.m. May 2. A public welcome reception for Pastor Sheppard and his family is planned for Friday evening, May 14. He previously served in Fitchburg and Groton and Auburn.

At Town Hall last Thursday three senior citizens supported a 50 percent tax exemption for residents earning under 3000 dollars. No objections were raised as the Town Board adopted the measure. Robert Coleman was named town constable at the same meeting.
