Mary Flur a Mainstay of Depot Military Personnel
Mary Flur of the Military Personnel Section at Building 101 has processed thousands of soldier records over eight years in the depot. Since joining in spring 1942 she rose from GS-2 to GS-4, earned two outstanding performance awards, and won $100 for sustained performance. She began as a checkerette and teletype operator before serving in General Supply and Cost Accounting, later joining Military Personnel and marrying SFC Stephen Flur. National Library Week ran April 17–23 at the depot with the Post Library open daily for extensive reading materials and media.
