Cortland County Expands Vocational Agriculture Program
Cortland County expands agricultural education under the 1963 Vocational Education Act. Area Center classes in Agriculture Mechanization and Farm Production and Management train 46 boys in two-and-a-half hours daily, with many moving to two-year colleges or local agriculture jobs. The program aims to broaden skills beyond farming into agribusiness, machinery, horticulture, and conservation.
