After October 1970 without a pastor Interlaken First Baptist Church near Auburn has called Rev. James R. Sheppard from Second Baptist Church of Auburn to begin May 1. The church Mrs. Sheppard and their three children Kenneth Janet and Stephen will relocate to join a renewed program of growth and community outreach.

After three years of waiting the United Presbyterian Church of Lodi becomes legally incorporated in New York. The first annual meeting is set for Thursday April 22 at 7 45 p m in the Chapel with nine trustees to be elected and the 1971 budget to be approved. Eligible members 21 and over are urged to attend. A Junior Youth Fellowship for grades 5 and 6 will be organized Sunday April 25 at 7 p m. The South Seneca Senior Hi Youth retreat departs Friday from Ovid Federated Church at 7 p m.

Over 60 Girl Scout adult volunteers from 16 county Seven Lakes council gathered in Watkins Glen on April 21 for the tri annual neighborhood chairmen conference.
