Crash Takes Lives of 2 Interlaken Youths
Interlaken mourned as two 19 year olds James F. MacDougall and Bruce Tracey died in a one car crash near Perry City early Friday morning. The 1962 convertible left Rt. 227, struck a maple tree and ejected both passengers. Coroner Dr. James J. Norton ruled accidental death from head injuries and multiple fractures. MacDougall, a 1966 Interlaken Central graduate and local mechanic, is survived by his parents and sister with funeral services held at Hurlbut Funeral Home. Tracey, also an Interlaken Central alumnus and mechanic, left three brothers and three sisters among surviving relatives, with services at Hurlbut Funeral Home. Bearers included local residents from nearby towns.
