A record of Texas district court actions lists numerous cases with dismissals, continuations, and guilty pleas. Notable items include Ed Smith jailed 30 days plus $1000 fine for assault with intent to murder, and Ralph Smothers with theft of automobile later dismissed. Several defendants named Langerhans, Bechtel, and others show repeated proceedings. Local social notes mention visits and visits to San Antonio, Fredericksburg, and Austin.
Dismissed in the case against Bessie Pierce for theft by bailee after punishment previously assessed at two years in the penitentiary. Separately in State v Harry Hohmann, theft of two hogs resulted in a three year penitentiary sentence with suspension of the sentence.
Airliner believed missing since departure from Albuquerque was found in Black Rock Valley near Gallup New Mexico with all eight aboard dead. Initial sighting reports traced to a shoe shine parlor rumor and later confirmation showed wreckage location uncertain after fruitless searches across southern California and the Gallup area.
Announcement that the vendor sells his interest in the Rainbow Service Station to Messrs Benno Jung and Walter Pehl and that Ernst Nagel’s interests have been acquired, with plans to continue business at the same location and appreciation for patronage.
Fire in Blanco early Wednesday razed four business buildings half the town’s commerce. The W F Moore store and the two story Nowotny building suffered major damage. Walter Bindseil cash and carry and a Bindseil apartment were gutted. $6500 in new merchandise destroyed. Buckhorn barber shop and Blanco Masonic lodge building were total losses with stock and records damaged or removed.
Max Wahrmund Jr of Louis visits his parents in Fredericksburg. Mr William G Neuse and family and Mr Edgar Treisch of New Braunfels join friends for a Fredericksburg stay. A sale offers $2.09 hole proof silk chiffon hose in all shades for $1.49 at Schroeder Bros.

Zions Evangelical Labh Church holds its Annual Mission Day with services at 10 am 2 pm and 8 pm. Rev A B Weiss of Austin and Dir Krausharr of Seguin will preach. Krausharr serves on the Foreign Mission Board and has previous field experience in New Guinea. Pastor F A Bracher extends the invitation to all.
