A Saturday morning storm started a fire that destroyed the Emil Dietrich Ranch barn, blamed on a lightning strike between 4 and 5 am. The Fredericksburg Tourist Park pool opens Saturday May 17 for the season. A formal opening is set for Sunday May 25 with entertainment to be announced next week.
