The Round Up Ends in Desert Treasure Tale
A dramatic excerpt follows a woman’s vow to marry Dick, a desert trek by Jack to prove a lie, and Echo’s plea as Bud guards love and justice. The narrative shifts to a historical digression on Coronado’s quest for Quivira and the legends of buried gold, describing Tabira ruins and Apache threats, ending with a note that the tale continues.
