Public School Auxiliary to Hold Ninth Annual Commencement
The Public School Auxiliary announces the ninth annual commencement of St Anthony's Business College at Peter’s opera house on Thursday evening June 20. Five graduates are expected. The event includes a program. the group has renamed to Public School Auxiliary to invite men to join in improving school conditions. A vote of thanks was given to local physicians for examining school children. The school library opens Fridays 9 to 11, with Miss Estill and Mr. Bittner in charge. New members Striegler and Mrs. W. Harrington were enrolled.

Knife Found In Paper By Spring Creek Resident
A two-bladed pocket knife was slipped into the Woehenblatt mailed to Mr John Klaehn of Springs Creek during press day. One blade was open as it was used to seal the mail. Klaehn returned the paper to the office for an explanation and the errant employee was paid six bits after a futile search for the missing knife.

Chamber of Commerce Meeting Highlights Local Highway Efforts
The Chamber of Commerce held its regular monthly meeting with strong attendance. Dr. E H Riley reported on his Ozark Trail Association attendance at Miami Oklahoma and efforts to place Gillespie County on the route. About 20 members pledged support and funds. Judge A H Kneese reported progress on mans and profiles for the Federal highway through Mason County, data sent to the National Highway Commission. A plan to preserve and market surplus home grown fruits and vegetables was discussed, with a committee to arrange sales. J H Newberry, superintendent of Fredericksburg and Northern Ry., was welcomed as a new member.
