Invitations have been mailed for the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce annual meeting set for June 26 at 7 30 pm on the High School Athletic Field. Governor Beauford Jester will speak. the High School Band will perform. six new directors will be elected from nominees including Richard Bruns Edgar Mosel R W Klingelhoefer N J Dietel Hilmar Weinheimer Paul Kraus Edgar Stroeher Kurt Eckhardt and Clemens Kneese. Gillespie County Fair Adds Horse Stalls For 84 Stables
The Gillespie County Fair Association began construction of 44 additional race horse stalls to house 84 horses after a board vote. Gilbert Kaderli, the association president, cited inadequate facilities during the recent three day meet and noted the new lumber building will extend from the gate to the northwest corner, allowing removals between stalls for stock show use. The expansion will not reduce parking, and facilities will be needed when the Gillespie County Fair runs August 22 to 24 and the barns are used for livestock exhibition.

Giants humble Dan's Cafe in 10 2 setback
In a Sunday game at Jimmie Pyka Field the Dan's Cafe nine from San Antonio was overwhelmed 10 to 2 by the Giants. Klaerner pitched seven innings for the locals allowing seven hits and two runs. Wilson hit a second inning homer scoring Ramirez. Max Molberg finished with two scoreless innings. Ahrens led the Giants with three hits as Johnson struggled for the Cafemen.
