Henry A Meier suffers leg fracture from horse kick
Henry A Meier of Luckenbach sustained a compound fracture of his left leg Tuesday afternoon when kicked by a horse while herding to the pens on his ranch. Meier was riding behind several horses and was helped by neighbor Mr Lebine. He was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

Government Trapper Nets Twelve Wolves Near Enchanted Rock
Andrew McKinney, government trapper, exterminated twelve Texas Red Wolves in the Enchanted Rock region northwest of Fredericksburg over the past week. Nine cubs were found in a cave and three large wolves, some with missing legs, were captured in baited traps. one alive wolf was released to Henry Hohmann’s pack before being disposed of. The three day Gillespie County Fair Association meet capped Sunday with Cat Play and Ruler dead heating the mile and seventy yards in 4 minutes 56 seconds.
