New Liberal Benefits for Ex-Service Men under 1919 Act
The War Risk Insurance Act amendment signed December 24 1919 expands beneficiaries to include parents grandparents stepparents spouses children grandchildren and other relations and adds options for lump sum or 36 month installments to United States Government life insurance. It doubles some disability rates and introduces allowances for dependents and partial disability with earning capacity based calculations.
