Hillbillies Share District Title in 8-AA Basketball
Fredericksburg High School Hillbillies finish 7-1 in District 8-AA and tie Brady for the league crown. They travel to Llano High Gym Thursday at 8 p.m. to decide who advances to regionals, after both teams clinched playoff spots with wins this week. Jessie Young led with 26 against San Saba. Dennis Friedrich and Young had 18 each in the Llano win.

Band Boosters Turkey Dinner Set For Sunday
The Band Boosters announce a benefit turkey dinner on Sunday Feb. 21 in the Elementary Gym on the Public School campus. Meals start at 11 30 am with to go options and prices 1 15 for adults 85 cents for children. A 1 30 pm band concert follows in the Junior High Gym with a small admission for those without dinner tickets.
Gillespie Youth Shine With Stock Show Placings
Gillespie youths earned multiple placings at the San Antonio Stock Show. St Barnabas Episcopal Church invites Gillespie County residents to an open house Sunday from 2 to 4 pm featuring guided tours of the old chapel and new edifice, history talks, organ demonstration, Cyprus stone exhibit, and light refreshments.
