Wells Reapproved As Conservation Practice In 1939 Farm Program
The drilling of wells is re approved as a conservation practice eligible for payment under the 1939 range program per local Agricultural Conservation Association. It had been withdrawn but approved for 1939 with bulletin confidence. Auto Mishap Injures Two in Gillespie County
Two Gillespie County youths were injured Sunday night when the car they rode in struck a culvert on the Austin Highway near the city and overturned. J C Cason 17 suffered a cut above the eye and an injured knee while Walter Oehler 20 suffered a knee injury. Both were treated at a Fredericksburg hospital before being returned home.

Auto License Plate Sale Underway in Texas 1939
Automobile registration for 1939 starts statewide with new plates required by April 1. First Gillespie county plate went to Max H Hopf of Harper who also had the first plate last year. Truck Driver Burned While Repairing Truck Near Fredericksburg
John Theriat of San Antonio was burned on his right leg and both hands when gasoline saturated clothing ignited as he primed a carburetor on a truck five miles south of Fredericksburg on the San Antonio highway. David Meyer of Fredericksburg assisted. Theriat was hospitalized and returned home Monday. Meyer was uninjured.
