Federal Guard Unit to Undergo Federal Inspection in February

The Fredericksburg National Guard unit will be federally inspected on February 19, 1948, per 155th Field Artillery Battalion Headquarters. The Louis Jordan Post held a Junior Baseball Night in Fredericksburg to promote the American Legion Junior Baseball program. Gillespie County Sets Poll Tax Record Amid Rush

County receipts total 4 177 for period ending last Saturday with 98 percent of the county tax levy paid totaling 63 394 dollars. In addition 35 constitutional polls and 137 exemptions were issued and over 400 receipts were issued on Saturday. The tax office moves to license sales with April as the final date for vehicle licenses.
