Two Young Men Held On Charge Of Burglary
Robert Litmeft aged nineteen and Edward Wix who first gave his age at eighteen later admitted twenty two are jailed in Gillespie County for the December 5 burglary of Clarence St Clair’s home at Mors Ranch. They were arrested in Kerrville by Sheriff Frank Moore on game law charges and held in Kerr County jail before being moved here for the February district court term. The stolen property tied to St Clair led to the charges after investigators found items in the youths possession and St Clair filed a complaint. The pair denied involvement in Gillespie burglary, saying a Gillespie County resident sold them the property. their story collapsed under examination Friday.

Lions Inaugurate Yuletide Season With Program
A modest crowd braved cold and a freezing north wind Monday for Fredericksburg Lions Club seventh annual Community Christmas Program at the Public School Auditorium. Dr. W. W. Jackson urged peaceful goodwill and Christmas spirit, praising local groups and Lions for cooperation while Rev. O Lindenberg and Rev. B E Breihan led prayers and benediction. Local church choirs and the American Legion Orchestra performed as the community Christmas tree, sponsored by the Lions, was lit for the first time Sunday night.

A Kerrville Fredericksburg road delegation appeared before the Texas Highway Commission in Austin requesting the completion of Highway 16. Spokesman Col Alfred Petsch led Kerrville and Gillespie County members with several county officials and the Kerrville Bus Co. providing transport. A decision was promised after careful review. Comfort Youth Killed Near Center Point
Wilbert Stieler of Comfort was killed in a car wreck two miles south of Center Point on the Comfort Kerrville highway when his car collided with a truck. His cousin Eugene Stieeler was injured. Leroy Krauter was uninjured. Funeral services were held Saturday at Comfort Cemetery. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and other relatives.

Mrs Joe Jenschke and others attended the funeral of Mrs Arthur Metzger in San Antonio last Friday.
