Thirtieth Annual Christmas Seal Sale Underway
The thirtieth annual sale of Christmas Seals began on Thanksgiving Day and runs through Christmas to support the National Tuberculosis Association educational campaigns. In Texas the sale is led by the Texas Tuberculosis Association with Miss Geraldine Schoene Wolf of Fredericksburg as county chair. Stamps cost one cent and are used to seal letters and packages.

Fire destroys Emil Hahn residence near Fredericksburg
A fire of unknown origin early Sunday morning leveled the eleven room Emil Hahn home about four miles southeast of Fredericksburg near the old San Antonio road. Valued at 5000 dollars, the house burned to the ground with only a portion of furniture saved and several valuable antiques lost. The couple woke to a noise in a second story room around 2 AM and investigated.
