Death of Mrs Viola Bergen in Indianapolis
Mrs Viola Bergen died May 20 at three in the morning at her daughter’s home in Indianapolis after a long illness from stomach cancer. She was about 55, raised in Johnson County, widow of Dr Bergen of Petersburg, survived by daughter Jessie Roy and son Koert Bergen in Oklahoma. burial occurred beside her late husband in Petersburg. She once led Franklin college dormitory and later Colgate university dormitory before ill health forced retirement. Her death grieves many who knew her in and out of college.
