William J. Probasco, 37, longtime Fort Wayne man and bookkeeper for Tri-State Loan and Trust Co., died Tuesday afternoon at Hope Hospital. He resided at 702 Union Street and had been ill for some time after an operation. Cause listed as heart failure. Survived by his widow and distant relatives. active in Masonic circles.
Bryan Ohio March 5 Firefighters battled bitter cold five hours to contain a blaze that ruined the Mast High Street Church of Christ and damaged adjacent homes and barns. Loss estimated near 6 000 dollars with partial insurance. Fire began in the church rear likely from a stove.

A 32 year old man identified as Beavers was found on Nickel Plate tracks near Burket, 45 miles west of Fort Wayne, with a fractured skull and severe wounds. He rode a westbound train from Claypool, was later found unconscious, and is in critical condition at Lutheran Hospital. Railroad officials cannot explain how he fell from the car, and a sister and father are at his bedside.
