Wheat and grain markets show mixed movement in Chicago
Chicago wheat and corn markets opened modestly higher then weakened as favorable weather boosted new crop prospects. July wheat touched 81 4 and closed lower while July corn traded around 49 to 49 14 cents. Oats and oats futures eased with July at 34 and Sept near 32 . The oilseeds and meats showed uneven activity with July pork around 16.17 and July lard at 8.60 to 8.72. Local receipts totaled 671 cars for corn and 294 for oats with overall market sentiment leaning weak at session close.
