Bombing Damages Alexandropol Governor General and Family
In Alexandropol July 16 a bomb exploded near a carriage injuring General Alikhanoff, Madame Glieboff, and the coachman. A son and a daughter sustained serious injuries. The assailants hurled the bombs in Beboutoff street as the party returned from the general’s club.

Attempt to wreck Baltimore and Ohio train foiled near Sand Patch
In Connellsville Pennsylvania on July 16 an attempt to wreck the Baltimore and Ohio Duquesne limited train No. 12 near Sand Patch tunnel was thwarted by lever man Stephen Kerrigan and a walking companion. They found a tie across the rails and were fired on. they fled to Sand Patch where they flagged the oncoming train and crew armed with revolvers and rifles approached the bushes and cleared the obstruction. The Elks on board were bound for Philadelphia.

Kansas City dispatch reports Chicago Great Western No 4 struck the rear Pullman of Burlington No 22 north of Kansas City at Bethel Kansas. Fritz Ulrici of Rochester New York salesman died after being badly injured. Two other Burlington passengers were slightly hurt and continued their journey. Great Western engine was damaged. High Missouri River water caused routing changes for Omaha Sioux City trains. Confusion of train orders preceded the crash.

In Cherryvale Kansas two bandits stopped a St Louis and San Francisco freight five miles east of town. They shot and killed O. J. Brown and wounded Otis Taylor seriously.
