Sharon Pa August 27 Mrs Sylvester Rotunna wife of the wealthiest Italian in western Pennsylvania lies dying in Sharon hospital after being shot by members of the Black Hand society. Giuseppe Colotto leader of the gang was captured after a long running fight with Rotunna and hundreds of townspeople. An attempt to lynch Colotto followed his arrest before he was jailed. State constabulary were summoned as officials feared further outbreaks. Colotto demanded $100 from Mrs Rotunna and shot her when she refused. The husband then engaged in a running gun battle with Colotto leading to Colotto’s capture.
