In Bucomimaron Indiana on West Sixth Street D L Demaree slit his mother Mrs Demaree throat and then cut his own windpipe. Both died. Ward Demaree a 25 year old student reportedly showed signs of mental strain before the act. The coroner ruled insanity. The family plans a private underground vault burial for Ward and his parents at Calvary Cemetery.

Henry Davis Sr of Monroeville died suddenly Saturday morning. He was a longtime resident and well known in the community. His passing comes as a shock to neighbors and relatives. He is the father of Joseph Davis, business manager of the Press. A nearby voting result shows Lakeside residents choosing incorporation with 10 for and 35 against, and the addition will be annexed to the city.
Several old settlers are reported dead in a mortality list. William Pollock of South Fairfield avenue South Wayne died Sunday after lagrippe and bronchitis at age sixty seven. Mrs Georgiana McCullough wife of Dr Gus McCullough died at St Joe hospital from brain congestion at age thirty one and a half. John Snodgrass an elderly Washington township farmer died Sunday after a brief illness. Mrs Sarah Francis widow died at Spy Run avenue aged seventy five. Rev S A Northrop officiated at services for Mrs Mary Zuber seventy five. Flossie Holle died of consumption aged thirty. Mary Beuret aged fifty seven died of consumption. Varronios Link died of pneumonia aged fifty seven. John O Winter infant son died from bronchitis and brain trouble. Funeral arrangements listed for multiple cases.
The Fort Wayne Presbytery held its annual missionary meeting at Warsaw with 48 out of town delegates. Officers from Goshen and Fort Wayne led the societies, and attendees heard reports on foreign and home missions totaling 2259.40 in gifts. Fort Wayne speakers highlighted home missions and a former Columbia mission work shared by Mrs Antrup.
In Warsaw Indiana Prospect Hux now Prospect Hill records a series of deaths right after residents O H Matthews and his wife, Calvin Cowgill and his sister, an itinerant peddler, Andrew Thomas, Miss Ollie Matthews, Judge R B Encell and his family, Mrs Robert Shaw, and P L Runyan.
