Murdered His Daughters Suitor In Van Wert
At about 1 am in Van Wert John Garwood, who lived near Wiltshire, pounded Bauman’s door demanding entry. Bauman, whose daughter is about sixteen Garwood courted, shot Garwood after Garwood drew a revolver. Bauman fired, killing Garwood in the doorway and surrendered to authorities.
