Fort Wayne Singer Killed in Action Riles Community

Elmer Ecklemeyer, Fort Wayne soldier and church tenor, was killed in action leaving the city and the local Methodist Episcopal congregation in mourning. He had sung in the church choir and worked for Wayne plumbing shop proprietors Edward and Albert Der Reimer. His family and church mourn the loss as his rich tenor voice is silenced.
