Calf Theft, Bar Brawl Mark Night in Fort Wayne Visitors
Last Friday in town Fort Wayne men Frank Falker John Mungen and Henry Manniffg with Frank Horn of St Louis took a calf from Charley Bol yard wrapped it in a horse blanket and placed it in their carriage. A search followed the calf was recovered and a scuffle broke out in Henry Blaising's saloon. Fights touched several locals with blows and a chair strike. The group later buried the hatchet and returned the calf. The episode closed with apologies and no lasting harm.

Death of Mrs Mary Martian Houlihan at 98 West Williams Street
Mary Martian Houlihan aged 66, born near Dingle Ireland, died this morning at her Fort Wayne home. She came to America as a young woman, lived in Chicopee and settled in Fort Wayne in 1864. She leaves her husband John Houlihan and eight children, six living: Michael, John Jr., James, Thomas, Bridget, and Johanna. Funeral 1:30 pm Sunday from St Patrick’s Church.
