Railroad flagman shoots self in knee on freight train
P. A. Sullivan a well known railroad worker was on Pittsburg road freight No. 76 when his 32 caliber revolver exploded as he prepared to pocket it. The bullet entered his right knee, shattered bone fragments, and lodged in the caboose door. He was taken to a drug store in Arcola for treatment and the wound, while painful, is not dangerous.
