Howard Council No. 246 Royal Arcanum met at Harmony Lodge hall and elected officers for the coming year. The meeting determined the leadership team and responsibilities for the organization’s next term.
The Kimball Piano Co. has leased the five story 109 Calhoun Street building, former Armstrong & Co. and Leon Furniture Co. sites, to become the state’s finest music house. Fort Wayne’s Arcade Music Store will close its current stock with deep prices before moving January 1 to remodel and reopen with an all new selection.
Arnold's floating chapel an ark measuring 60 by 180 feet is frozen in the Illinois river two miles above Lacon after being towed upstream in summer and halted by slow progress. The manager conducted services at river points and now may wait for spring to resume downstream travel. The Ellington Piano ad follows.
The Salter and Martin mammoth Uncle Tom's Cabin company appears at the Temple tonight with a famed scenic arrangement and strong reviews from Boston Globe. Royal Hawaiian Band performs two concerts at the Temple Sunday with the Hawaiian Glee Club under J S Libornio. International Exposition tickets go on sale Sept 15 for travel via Lake Erie and Western to Atlanta with special fares and new time card details.
