Mortgage controversy over street railway value in Fort Wayne

Board of Works approves street assessments and opens alleys

Last night the Board of Public Works approved the Winch street assessment roll and opened an alley south of Hayden street. A declaratory resolution authorized opening the first alley south of High street between Cedar and McCulloch. The board also moved to bid for printing the 1896 council proceedings with bids opened December 23, 1893. The Lake Erie and Western railway to sell Atlanta tickets on November 15 and 25 plus December 5 and 16, 1895 at $16.25. Goold for 10 pays on account of exposition.

Federal Labor Union Meeting At Cigar Factory

A preliminary gathering to form a Federal Labor union under the American Federation of Labor will be held this evening at Kasten and Kohlmeyer’s cigar factory at 180 Calhoun Street.
