Heather House builds miniatures market for collectors
Heather House owner Vernyle Steele at 1109 Chicago Ave. shows how recycling fuels antiques and miniature demand. The shop shifted to miniatures and collectibles, offering Limoges pieces, doll house furniture, memory boxes, and plates from Norman Rockwell, Wedgwood, and Hummel. Ron Steele, a musician, and their six children help run the family business.
