A puppet workshop for children aged 7 to 12 begins Saturday January 8 at 10 a.m. at Forest Park Community Center, running six Saturdays with a $5 materials fee. Participants will make and handle puppets, ending with a final puppet show.

St Bernardine’s Elgin and Harrison Forest Park will host a CARE program on December 12 at 12 15 pm to reaffirm marriages with a Mass followed by a couples dialogue from 115 to 4 pm. Riveredge Hospital in Forest Park kicks off an affiliate program with the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine to give junior and senior medical students clinical psychiatry experience. Seven CCOM students began five week rotations across six Riveredge units, under staff psychiatrists, with family practice alignment and a focus on two patients per student.
