Tlose Imburgla, a fourteen year old Proviso Township student, wins the State High School Trophy in Chicago on September 1. The event drew about 100 contestants from across Illinois with judges from The Angu Budinesy Show Co. of New York. Imburgla also secures second overall and a medal, with a typing and stenography focus guiding Proviso High’s young team as the school prepares for football and upcoming contests.
The Infonent dance party at Speedway hospital Saturday night drew about 150 young people from Borert Tiark and Maywed. Eugene Joyaux and The Originators donated a lively program of tunes. Soldiers did not dance, yet guests enjoyed the festive atmosphere, bouquets, cake, and a nurse host. Major Mark Do White attended with Miss Myrtle Hellen as accompanist. the event was sponsored by Mrs Edith Velleman and the Red Cross service.
The Forest Park village case against W B Keough Manufacturing over odors and noises from its Randolph Street Marengo Avenue plant dominates a long court week. Attys Healey and Foell argued amid local business leaders and neighbors, with a final hearing set for October 4 and a judge’s decision expected shortly after.
Albert Longfield Bux Wille Joe Kelly and William Provhl were arrested by Volks Officers Herman Bursta Wriday for several hours. They found a dilapidated wagon near Keystone Avenue and River Forest and paraded it along Maison Street. Michael Zullo of Chicago took over the repair shop at 7427 Madison Street formerly owned by C Sulemon of Oak Park. He has been proprietor since September 1.

The daring aviatrix Miss Ethel M Dare wowed a crowd at an outdoor field in Chicago with a series of stunt feats. She will repeat her performance tomorrow afternoon weather permitting and expects thousands from Chicago and western suburbs to attend.
Proviso Township High School announces a writing contest with a hidden theme and a school year award for the top student, judged by a panel including J L Thalia and W C Castenin. The American Legion will host a victory dance and bunco night on November 11 at Forest Park ballroom with prizes and a winning cup for scholarship and athletic excellence.
The Phi Sigma Kappa sorority enjoyed a dinner at King's restaurant and Pred Stone in Tip Top at the Colonial Theater on Monday evening.
The village council held its weekly meeting discussing a contractor dispute involving Gwardad and a counterproposal by Mayor Kivul Opposed Keant Dag. The council approved budget actions totaling 72 004 75 and deferred a road project on Lah Jer avenue. A driver’s platform opening and church notices were also announced along with an annual meeting of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society.
Brigadier General Cumming of Public Health visited Speedway as part of a week long inspection preparatory to the hospital’s opening. He praised the design but noted the long structure and some plumbing and equipment issues would be corrected. He spoke from Speedway headquarters in Chicago and toured local facilities. work on the laboratory, operating room, and service bureau was underway.
Dedication services will be held for the new gardenage of Br Pavl'a Lae in the Septentyr 2 program. The service includes old rites, hymns, scripture readings, anthems, prayers, offerings, and benediction in a bilingual English and another language format. The program lists choir pieces, readings by various names, and closing prayers with violin obbligato and altar music.
Mr. and Mira Er. W Buethke of 1040 Lathrop Avenue were surprised Saturday evening September 17 when friends gathered to celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary.
