Forest Park Eastern Star Lodge Inaugurated with 300 Attendants

The Forest Park Eastern Star Lodge was instituted Thursday evening at the Usko Park Hall 1172 Lake Street with over three hundred present including delegates from twenty lodges. Officers installed included Worthy Matron Anna Animus Associate Conductress Ethel Naeger and other officers. Grand officers and visiting matrons attended. A profusion of flowers accompanied the ceremony. Headlines note team action with players Warren Berliner Jarus and Meyer shown in accompanying photos.

Proviso Township Forms New All Star Football Team

An all star team from Proviso Township is organized to represent the area. Led by manager Hogee, the team plans its first game Sunday at 2 40 PM at Maywood High School field on Forest Preserve property. Several Forest Park players join, including Roy Markward and William Gurney, strengthening the squad to face the Columbus Park Cordials.

Mancys Attend Memorial Service for Airship Crew

Mr and Mrs Stiney Mancy of Forest Park and their party attended a memorial service at Westminster Abbey London on September 7 honoring American and British crews lost when airship 1-38 wrecked. The Mancys met Mr Marys mother and eight brothers and two sisters at KOYLands after a three month Europe trip.

Village Council Weekly Session Faces Street Re paving Debate

In a Wintering of the Village Council a motion to award paving work faced questions over the scope and responsibilities. Breaks Arm in Accident at Local School Compound

A twelve year old Afr pupil, Robert Diebanger, sustained a broken arm after a lunch hour fall at Milanger Sr residence. The incident occurred Friday between noon and afternoon classes. He was attended by several pupils and teachers, and an X-ray confirmed the fracture. A hospital examination followed.
